The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Part-Time Temporary Case Manager on Dahlonega campus. The Part-Time Case Manager (PTCM) supports operations of the Dean of Students Office (DOS), with a primary focus on reviewing and responding to excused absence (EA) requests for students across all UNG campuses, including online. Once an EA request has been submitted, the PTCM will evaluate if there is sufficient documentation to grant request and will either approve, deny, or request additional information in accordance with outlined policies and procedures. The PTCM will notify faculty for all approved requests through Banner Web, send denial letters and other requests from information to students when appropriate, and will accurately maintain all student records and communications through the Maxient database. The PTCM will also reassign EA requests to other members of the DOS, as appropriate. This position will support other DOS operations including, but not limited to, hardship withdrawals and low-level student support cases. The PTCM will work part-time,15-19 hours per week, with the flexibility to work remotely, and report to the Senior Dean of Students.
Review and respond to requests for excused absence in accordance with outlined policies and procedures.
Communicate with faculty and students about the status or outcome of an excused absence using various technology platforms including Banner, Maxient, and Outlook with accuracy and great attention to detail.
Ensure appropriate & authentic documentation from students for review and accurately maintain all student records and communications through the Maxient database. Make referrals when appropriate.
Assist with other Dean of Students operations including, but not limited to, hardship withdrawals and low-level student support cases, as needed.
Consult with Dean of Students leadership on complex cases.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Requires the ability to pay strong attention to details and an ability to quickly absorb and correctly disseminate information.
Requires a knowledge of and adherence to

FERPA & HIPPA

regulations.
Must have strong written communication skills. Excellent customer service skills and organizational skills required. Requires the use of various technology platforms.
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Five (5) years of administrative experience in a college or university setting preferred.
Experience in student services or case management preferred.
