Job Description
STABILIZATION CASE MANAGER
The Housing Opportunity Center is expandingits growing housing program to better respond to the needs in theGreater New Bedford and Bristol County area. We are seeking a motivatedindividual who can bring new skills to our team with the followingqualifications and skills: ? BA/BS in Human Services preferred, ?Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills, ?Computer skills with the ability to perform daily tasks within Outlook,Microsoft Word, and Excel, ? Excellent documentation and file keepingskills, ? MA driver’s license and reliable transportation required, ?Ability to speak Haitian Creole preferred. Prior experience in humanservices, housing, and homelessness services. Experience or knowledge ofRAFT, HomeBASE programs, as well as experience with the Department ofTransitional Assistance, the Department of Housing and CommunityDevelopment, and HUD. Must have demonstrated understanding of resourcesand systems available through governmental, non-profit and privatesectors, and have a compassionate nature to help people progress fromhomelessness to self-sufficiency. Proven ability to maintain highproductivity while functioning in a flexible environment requiring bothindependent work and close coordination with team members. Must have asensitivity and responsiveness to people of diverse backgrounds. Theposition will involve working directly with eligible families to assistthem in becoming financially stable and secure in permanent housingwhile addressing any barriers to success. This position presents anopportunity to work as part of a dynamic team dedicated to servingpeople in need. The successful candidate will have a strong workingknowledge of how to navigate public resources, and possess the empathyrequired to understand and relate to the people we serve. SALARY:
