Employment Case Management Specialist – Refugee & at Catholic Charities Of Maine in Auburn, Maine, United States Job Description Catholic Charities Maine Refugee & Immigration Services (RIS) in Auburn has a Full-Time opening for an Employment Case Management Specialist.
Definition:
The Employment Case Management Specialist provides employability & employment services for assigned clients, including refugees and other ORR-eligible populations. They help employable ORR-eligible clients become job ready and prepare for employment by overcoming common barriers to employment such as low English proficiency, lack of job training, need for recertification, and a lack of childcare & transportation. They also support clients who are ready to work by providing an orientation to employment in US/Maine, creating or updating resumes, completing job applications, making job referrals to companies in the client’s field of interest, helping a clients prepare job interviews, supporting training and onboarding at new positions, and helping the clients resolve any issues to retain their employment. They help strengthen and support assigned individuals & families to achieve and maintain economic self-sufficiency, adding to the Maine workforce.
Qualifications:
The RIS Employment Case Manager will have a bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent life experience. Education outside the US will be considered.
Three (3) years of work experience in an employment-related field.
Multilingual skills (Arabic, Kinyarwanda, French, Swahili, Somali, Lingala, Portuguese, Ukrainian, and Haitian Creole) and experience working with immigrants is preferred.
Knowledge of the local employers, American work culture and local community resources is also preferred.
Salary:
$43,082 – $54,184 annually. Actual starting salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
