LINC believes fostering positive and supportive re-entry is crucial for the well-being of our community. This approach enhances public safety, promotes higher employment rates, reduces substance abuse, and lowers crime rates. By providing sustainable resources and intensive support, we significantly reduce recidivism among justice-involved individuals. The LRC Case Manager (CM) is in charge of documenting case updates in the North Carolina Department of Public Safety’s DAC portal. The CM coordinates and tracks all services, supplies, and client training. They support clients’ various needs, including educational, vocational, residential, mental health/substance abuse treatment, financial, social, and other nontreatment needs. The CM builds relationships with clients from prerelease to post-program completion and assists in developing and tracking strategic plans. The Local Reentry Council is looking for committed individuals living in the Pender and Duplin County catchment area to join our team. LRC Key Responsibilities Summary:

The case manager for the Local Re-Entry Council is responsible for documenting case updates in the North Carolina Department of Public Safety’s Department of Corrections portal. The case manager coordinates and tracks all services, supplies, and training for clients, and supports clients’ various needs such as educational, vocational, residential, mental health and substance abuse treatment, financial, social, and other non-treatment needs. The case manager builds relationships with clients from pre-release to post-program completion and assists in developing and tracking strategic plans. The LRC Case Manager’s role may involve arranging, linking, or integrating multiple services as needed by the client, either within or between programs and external agencies. This includes assessing and reassessing the clients’ need for case management services, informing them about benefits and community resources, assisting them in accessing these benefits and services, and monitoring the provision of these services. People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications or Standards:

Degree from a College or University with two years of verifiable case management experience. Comfortable working within secure jail/prison facilities with incarcerated persons. In-depth knowledge of case management, group facilitation, behavior dynamics, reentry and incarceration settings, substance abuse recovery, current treatment modalities, and community resources. Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and insurance required. Document case updates in the North Carolina Department of Public Safety’s portal. Track and coordinate all services, supplies, and training for clients, addressing various needs including educational, vocational, residential, mental health/substance abuse treatment, financial, and social. Build relationships with clients from pre-release to post-program completion and develop and track strategic plans. Preferred experience working with or providing services for justice-involved individuals, with 2-3 years of relevant experience. Effective communication, customer service skills, excellent time-management abilities, and knowledge of recovery resources. Ensure timely and accurate data entry into the grant tracking system or portal and manage a caseload of up to 50 individuals. Work Location:

In person. The position requires direct collaboration with team members. As a result, this position requires the applicant to work on-site at least 3-4 days a week. LINC has the discretion to allow remote work for 1-2 days per week, as appropriate.
