Richmond Behavioral Health hasf ull-time positions available for aClinician I/II to support our Therapuetic Day Treatment (TDT) teamwith the Children’s Mental Health Division. The successfulapplicant will perform intermediate professional work providingdirect clinical service to clients involving intake, assessingclient needs, developing treatment plans, providing preventionservices , managing cases, providing therapy, maintaining recordsand files, preparing reports, and related work as apparent orassigned. Job Duties Monitors and manages an assigned caseload; performs case managementduties to support assigned caseload. Provides crisis intervention and counseling services to individualsand families. Develops and maintains administrative and clinical files; preparesvarious reports and case related correspondence. Provides consultation, education and prevention services; providesdrug and alcohol testing. Participates in clinical, administrative and supervisory meetings;collaborates with other staff for case consultation. Performs intakes, client assessments and diagnostic interviews, anddevelops and writes comprehensive intake and diagnostic summariesand reports; conducts mental health assessment and monitors levelof functioning. Develops and facilitates psycho-educational groups; providesindividual, family and group counseling; implements treatmentplans; coordinates daily treatment schedule. Serves as member on local multi-disciplinary team & participates inreviews; prepares relevant case documentation. Delivers, provides and monitors medications; provides physician andstaff with updates; maintains medical records in accordance withstandards. Prioritizes medication and lab work monitoring with medical staffto maintain compliance. Manages and documents contacts; enters and updates information indatabase. Coordinates case management services; coordinates and links clientto community resources and medical services; interfaces with otherservice providers and client support system. Attends professional conferences and trainings as required. Provides child minding assistance to clients attending treatmentgroups, as needed. Provides transportation assistance, as needed. Attends court as needed to update the court on the participantsprogress and/or status of new referrals. Supervises student interns as directed. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities General knowledge of the principles and practices of providing careto individuals who may be emotionally disturbed, sociallydysfunctional, behaviorally disordered, suffer from mental illnessand/or substance use disorders, and their families; generalknowledge of community resources and human services network;general knowledge of community-based behavioral health principlesand psychotherapeutic treatment techniques; general knowledge ofthe theories and techniques of counseling and crisis intervention;thorough knowledge of intake techniques and procedures; ability toevaluate and screen clients; ability to prepare adequate recordsand to report findings and data effectively; ability to solveproblems within scope of responsibility; ability to establish andmaintain effective working relationships with clients, supervisors,consultants, community partners, law enforcement, associates andthe general public. Position Requirements Education and Experience Master’s degree with coursework in social work, counseling,psychology, or related field and moderate experience working withchildren with behavioral health disorders and/or developmentaldisabilities in a behavioral healthcare setting. Special Requirements Master’s Degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or relatedhuman services field required. Valid driver’s license in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Prescreening certification preferred. LMHP-E Required. Qualifying license eligible staff will be eligible for a $4Ksign-on bonus as defined by the terms and conditions of theapproved sign-on bonus policy. License eligible preferred.
