THE POSITION

Are you interested in advocating for the well-being of all children and youth in Lebanon County? Lebanon County Children & Youth Services is on the lookout for a dedicated Casework Supervisor to complete our team. This position allows you to utilize your leadership skills to guide a group of caseworkers, ensuring efficient operations are maintained throughout the unit. today to take advantage of this challenging yet rewarding career opportunity!

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will be responsible for the direct supervision and oversight of individual caseworkers within your assigned unit. Work involves meeting with each caseworker to review active placement cases and give guidance, suggestions, direction, instruction, and advice with case planning for ongoing services. You will also be responsible for providing case management and counseling services, ensuring all appropriate services are provided to clients. You will have the opportunity to oversee the training and approval of new foster parents, foster home evaluations, and re-evaluations, verifying foster families meet state and federal requirements and regulations.

Additional responsibilities include:

Monitoring investigations of suspected child abuse and neglect cases
Reviewing and scheduling all petitions for court hearings
Reviewing case records for mandated compliance
Maintaining reports, statistics, data, and summaries
Collaborating with community representatives and agencies to coordinate services
Completing training to stay up to date with current case management practices Take your supervisory career up a notch with

Lebanon County Children & Youth Services Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Two years of professional experience in public or private social work and a bachelor’s degree with major course work in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; or
Any equivalent combination of experience and education which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.

Other Requirements:

This particular position also requires possession of a valid driver’s license which is not under suspension.

You must be able to perform essential job functions.

This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
