Job Duties:

The Child Welfare Services Case Worker Assistant under supervision of the Adoption Administrator, provides daily assistance to CWS Case Managers in the Upstate Adoptions office in the areas of Foster Care and Adoption case management responsibilitiesMaintains electronic case files (in agency designated system) accurately and times for documentation and auditing purposes; safeguards confidentiality of files and information in files.

To perform administrative duties for CWS Adoption Case Managers in order to guarantee timeliness of paperwork and records requests.

Request case records as needed and upload received records into electronic case files (in agency designated system) and ensuring a hard file is made and organized.

Assist with caring for children who are in the office as needed, transport as needed.

Participate in training, supervisory meetings and staff meetings as required.

Perform other relevant duties as assigned.

Perform Red Cross Shelter duty or other emergency shelter duty/ services as directed.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES A

High School Diploma and three (3) years work experience in clerical, administration, social work, correctional, business administration or general business, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

A college degree may be substituted for years of experience.
