As a Managed Care Coordinator UM II, you will be part of the Care Management department supporting a diverse team of healthcare professionals. Up to $31.25/HR What’s the Job? Perform medical or behavioral review/authorization processes to ensure coverage for appropriate services. Provide discharge planning and assess service needs in cooperation with providers and facilities. Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and members regarding requested services. Participate in direct intervention and patient education regarding healthcare delivery systems. Maintain current knowledge of contracts and network status of all service providers. What’s Needed? Experience in case management or care coordination preferred. Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively. Strong critical thinking skills. Working knowledge of spreadsheet and database software. Consistent work history with limited short-term assignments. What’s in it for me?
