Job Duties:
The Child Welfare Services Case Worker Assistant provide services to remedy abuse, neglect, exploitations or self-neglect of adults or children unable to protect themselves. Case Worker Assistants will assist Case Managers with providing casework services in assessments, family preservation, and foster care.
Assist with administrative support functions to include correspondence, copy, fax, email, printers, certified mail and etc.
Process Intake received from the HUB (including printing, signing intake book, and delivering to supervisors), and act as liaison for school districts and law enforcement (911 calls from intake phone).
Employ customer services by assisting clients with appointment scheduling and with unannounced office visits communicating their needs to the appropriate personnel.
Enter and link dictations and update persons ID screens in CAPSS.
Assist with CHRI’s (criminal histories) and check CHIP for SNAP information when requested.
Provide or arrange transportation for clients and assists with visitations. Enter visitations into CAPSS.
Make timely requests for educational, medical, dental, law enforcement records, drug screens, etc.
Perform other related duties as directed.
Perform shelter/emergency response duties when needed and as directed.
To ensure that personal identifying information (PII) is properly used, accessed, gathered, shared, and disposed. To protect the agency networks and applications by safeguarding systems equipment and data.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
A High School Diploma or equivalent. Related experience is preferred.
