! Our ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing client cases, ensuring that all legal processes are handled efficiently and effectively. This position requires college level writing skills, excellent written and communication skills in English. Absolutely must have a zeal for learning and growth, (for both yourself and the company) Responsibilities
- Set appointments for new/existing clients, and take case information from clients, medical providers, insurance companies, and opposing counsels.
- Open new files (obtain medical records and bills, police reports, insurance information, request for PIP payout sheets, and fill out PIP applications for clients.)
- Keep cases organized by establishing and organizing files; monitoring and maintaining calendars for Associate Attorney; meeting deadlines; documenting actions; inputting information into file database and confirming case status with attorney; coordinate and schedule EUOs, depositions, hearings, mediations, and arbitrations as well as assisting the attorney in preparing for the same.
- Help develop cases by maintaining contact with people involved in the case; scheduling depositions; preparing and forwarding summonses and subpoenas; drafting complaints; preparing and filing discovery requests; preparing responses to opposing counsel; generating status reports.
- Keep clients informed by maintaining contact; communicating case progress.
- Maintain case costs by verifying outstanding balances with attorney, clients, and providers.
DO YOU MEET THESE REQUIREMENTS?
Proven experience in legal research or a related field? At least 3 years experience in personal injury law? Strong data entry skills with a keen eye for detail? Previous experience as a paralegal or in a similar role? Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients and team members? Strong interviewing skills to gather relevant information from clients efficiently? Ability to provide executive administrative support, demonstrating strong organizational capabilities? Exceptional writing skills for drafting various legal documents and communications?
