Job Description:
We are looking for a Balanced and Restorative Justice Case Manager to join our team! The individual in this role will be responsible for the following: Provide risk assessments for referred youths using the YASI instrument. Recruit and facilitate restorative panels to address the harm done to the community and to individuals. Support youths to complete the agreed upon restorative and restitution activities related to the harm done. Work with schools, families, and other providers to address truancy concerns so that youths can attend and be successful in school. Participate in provider team meetings and family team meetings to work with community resources to ensure adequate provision of services for BARJ Youth. Prepare for and facilitate Restorative Family Group Conferences to help develop a plan and enlist the support of family members in completing their reparative and restorative activities. Recruit volunteers to provide mentoring to program youths, to participate on panels and to assist with youth classes and groups to enrich the content and learning opportunities for the youths participating. Provide restorative and skill development classes and groups for program youths. Teach social skills in an individual and group setting to program youths. Assist youths individually to learn to solve problems by clarifying their situation, evaluating the options available to them, and deciding upon a course of action to address their problem. Complete and maintain written documentation of activities according to program standards. Complete and maintain data records for program reporting purposes according to the standards of the Balanced and Restorative Justice (BARJ) program. Support youths individually to achieve the objectives of their plans. Provide positive learning experiences individually and in groups for program youths. Participate in training events in order to learn and be effective in the BARJ program. Participate in planned State training events for BARJ workers. Speak to area organizations and groups to inform them about Easterseals and the BARJ program. Collaborate with other stakeholders such as DCF/FSD, States Attorneys, community Justice Centers, and the Vermont Association of Court Diversion Programs. Ensure that all program youths receive services appropriate to their risk level. Develop and maintain positive working relationships and active communication with DCF and Easterseals staff within the provisions of the law and with respect to confidentiality requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with one (1) year relevant experience, OR Associate’s degree with four (4) years’ relevant experience, OR HS Diploma or equivalent with eight (8) years’ relevant experience Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Compensation:
Starting $21 hourly

This is a full-time, 30 hour/week position.
