The Outreach Coordinator provides outreach services in targeted areas to connect families who lack resources/ information to services provided by the program and its partners. Provide outreach services to families in targeted areas. Conduct a variety of outreach activities and events that are culturally sensitive including door-to-door family contacts, group presentations, networking, and attendance at community events to introduce the program to potential clients. Disseminate information at events/activities to educate families/communities about the long-term benefits of quality early childhood and the programs/services available. Identify members of the applicable service population in the targeted community and motivate them to participate in the early childhood system of care. Develop key community relationships throughout the targeted area in an effort to enhance outreach and increase the number of client referrals. Solicit volunteers through contacts in the community. Participate in parent engagement at local early childhood sites such as pre-K schools, childcare centers, Head Start, and Quality Counts sites to learn about their needs by listening. Complete Triple P (evidence-based Positive Parenting Program) training and certification; implement as directed. Complete form, reports, and required program documentation in an accurate and timely manner. 2 . Contribute to a positive, engaging work environment. Develop a strong knowledge base and stay current on job-related issues and trends. Participate actively in departmental meetings, training and education, as well as the quality process. Comply with CHS’s code of conduct, policies, procedures and other obligations. Assist with training other team members and providing back up when necessary. Pick up projects on the fly; perform other duties as assigned from time to time. Demonstrate the CHS Common Bond values in the performance of all job duties.
Job Qualifications Education, Licenses & Certifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent, required. Florida Driver’s License within 30 days from hire with daily access to a reliable and insured vehicle, required.
Experience:
Two years working with children and families, required. Bi-lingual English/Spanish or English/Creole, preferred.
