We specialize in providing virtual behavioral health services to Medicaid-insured adolescents, adults, and maternal populations. Our team is passionate, collaborative, and driven by impact. Role Overview As a Community Growth Representative , you will be the face of Backpack Healthcare in your local community. You’ll build authentic relationships with healthcare providers, community organizations, and other referral sources to drive awareness and referrals to Backpack’s services. You’ll own your territory, develop deep local knowledge, and collaborate cross-functionally to improve access to care for the people who need it most. Key Responsibilities Relationship Development & Outreach Identify and prioritize high-potential referral sources including primary care providers, OB/GYNs, pediatricians, behavioral health clinics, FQHCs, schools, and community orgs. Conduct high-volume, in-person outreach to introduce Backpack’s services, with a focus on speed to relationship. Attend community events, provider meetings, and health fairs to promote Backpack and build visibility. Onboarding & Activation Facilitate onboarding of new referral sources by providing training, resources (e.g., job aids, toolkits), and clear guidance on how to refer. Ensure referral sources are fully activated — not just trained, but regularly referring members to Backpack. Establish and maintain long-term relationships with partners to ensure Backpack remains top of mind and continues to be a trusted resource in the community. Territory & Pipeline Management Maintain a detailed and organized CRM pipeline of outreach, onboardings, and referral activity. Report on weekly activities, progress toward goals, and share local insights with the broader team. Success Metrics Number of new referral partners onboarded Activation rate (conversion from training to referral) Volume of referrals generated Frequency of partner engagement and re-engagement Who You Are Comfortable with high-volume, face-to-face outreach — you thrive on being out in the field. A relationship-builder who brings empathy, curiosity, and a solutions-oriented mindset. Detail-oriented and organized, able to juggle multiple priorities while keeping your pipeline current. Passionate about improving access to care, especially for under-served communities. Experienced in healthcare, sales, outreach, or community engagement preferred.
