Class Summary This is a part-time position with a maximum of 1,560 hours per year (averaging 29 hours/week) and is not eligible for paid holidays, leave, or benefits. Job Description The Engagement and Collaboration Division of Gwinnett County is seeking a creative and organized individual to join our team. This position provides vital marketing and communication support for the Departments of Community Services and Parks and Recreation. The primary responsibilities include graphic design and community outreach. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, creative, and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a collaborative environment, with strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously. Essential Duties Performs duties in Graphic Design, Content Creation and Adobe Creative Suite
Develops visually engaging marketing materials to support the department’s programs and initiatives, including flyers and promotional content
Helps create and implement outreach campaigns that encourage community engagement and ensure clear communication with Gwinnett County residents
Provides marketing and communication assistance for events, including event promotion and on-site support
Manages multiple projects, while prioritizing tasks Grade The grade for this position is 97. The salary will be based on experience and education. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED
One year of related experience
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above
Valid driver’s license
A flexible schedule and availability for occasional weekend and evening work are required to support various outreach efforts There is occasional travel to community events and activities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience in marketing, communications, or public relations
