We’re seeking a passionate and proactive individual to lead our outreach and partnership efforts virtually . Although this is remote position we are looking for someone within Georgia around the city of Columbus Who can connect with our local community in and around it to develop community relationships. Job Summary The Community Outreach & Development Coordinator plays a pivotal role in fostering relationships between the organization and the community. This part-time, virtual role is perfect for someone who loves building relationships, believes in educational equity, and wants to connect sponsors and community allies with our mission.
Time Commitment:
20 hours/month (flexible schedule, remote)
Key Responsibilities:
Community Outreach (50%) Identify and build relationships with local and national organizations aligned with our mission (education, wellness, creative arts, youth advocaCy) Represent the school virtually in community forums, webinars, or networking events when possible Create a monthly outreach plan and report summarizing community contacts and follow-ups Maintain and grow a database of community stakeholders and collaborators Sponsorship & Donor Engagement (40%) Research and contact potential sponsors or donors (corporate, small business, individuals) Customize sponsor pitch decks/emails with aligned messaging (templates provided or co-developed) Support the planning of virtual or in-person community-facing events (e.g., donor meetups, info sessions, showcases) Content & Communication Support (10%) Assist in creating one monthly spotlight (partner, sponsor, or event) for community engagement
Qualifications:
Strong communication and relationship-building skills (verbal + written) Self-starter with strong time management and follow-through Experience with outreach, fundraising, education, or community organizing a plus Comfortable with tools like Google Workspace, Zoom, and Canva (or willing to learn) Passionate about culturally relevant, creative education and wellness for youth
Compensation Structure:
Base Pay:
flat monthly stipend for 20 hours of work per month. (5 hours per week)
Performance-Based Bonuses:
