Research shows that people facing adversity are more likely to succeed when supported by strong, comprehensive networks. Wraparound services are a proven, transformative approach that significantly improves outcomes for youth, families, and entire communities. As a Wraparound Facilitator , you will help connect families with the resources and support they need to overcome challenges and thrive. United Way of the CSRA serves as the intermediary sponsor for AmeriCorps VISTA Project Unite, which delivers essential support and capacity building to schools ad nonprofit agencies such as Rise Augusta, Channeled Paths, Jessye Norman School of the Arts, Resilient Teens and various local nonprofit organizations. Each VISTA position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful, lasting difference in the lives of those we serve. As a VISTA member, you will provide indirect service that strengthens the systems supporting our community—helping families, veterans, and individuals improve their quality of life. AmeriCorps VISTA Members Provide Indirect Service Support by: Collecting and analyzing data from students and parents/guardians to identify barriers to academic, social, and emotional success Identifying and coordinating community resources for students who are academically or behaviorally at-risk Engaging community organizations to provide needed programs—or developing new initiatives and securing funding to ensure sustainability Establishing systems for students and families to access food, clothing, and other essential supplies Collaborating with the district homeless liaison to support families experiencing homelessness Recruiting, training, and managing volunteers to offer mentoring, tutoring, and assistance navigating available services Organizing and supporting fundraising efforts , supply drives, and project sponsorships; assisting with research and grant writing Creating outreach materials such as flyers and brochures; attending community events and meetings to promote programs and services. Those selected will participate in a VISTA Virtual Member Orientation (VMO) and begin a year of service on August 25, 2025. Other start dates are available and options will be discussed during the interview. This is a volunteer position. However, VISTA members receive a bi-weekly cash living allowance stipend, 20 days of paid leave, access to health care coverage, childcare assistance if eligible and approved, and an end-of-service education award equal to the Pell Grant over $7,300.

Requirements:

AmeriCorps VISTA Wrap Around Facilitators must be 18 years of age. be a U.S. Citizen, National, or Legal Resident. Able to commit and serve on a full-time basis for one (1) year. Valid Driver’s License with dependable transportation. Bachelor’s degree is preferred; some college required. Candidates must pass a criminal background check. What is AmeriCorps?
