Job Description

Community Outreach & Events Coordinator – Marketing & Communications 3.6 3.6 out of 5 stars Baton Rouge, LA 70817 The Community Outreach & Events Coordinator is responsible for planning and coordinating events and outreach efforts that support the organization’s mission. This role involves managing event logistics, coordinating with vendors and stakeholders, and ensuring smooth operations. The Coordinator will help build community relationships, support partnerships, and promote engagement initiatives. The ideal candidate has experience in event planning, community outreach, and logistics management, with the ability to handle multiple projects at once.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in event management, marketing, business, or related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered. 3-5 years’ experience in event planning, community outreach, partnerships, or related role

Responsibilities:
Event Coordination :

Plan and coordinate both marketing and partnership-based event logistics, including scheduling, setup, and execution, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Team Support :

Assist with volunteer coordination, role assignments, and on-site event logistics. Work with internal departments to support event setup and execution.

Budget Assistance :

Track event expenses and assist with both marketing and community outreach budget planning. Help secure vendor quotes and process payments.

Vendor Coordination :

Assist in researching and coordinating with vendors, securing contracts, and ensuring services are delivered as planned. Coordinate follow-ups with vendors post-event.

Marketing & Promotion :

Help with event promotions, invitations, and attendee registration. Assist with ordering, maintaining, and distributing promotional materials

Reporting :

Collect and analyze event data, track attendance, and prepare post-event reports to evaluate success and identify improvement areas.

Risk & Problem-Solving :

Identify potential event issues and escalate concerns as needed. Assist with basic troubleshooting during events.

Partnerships & Outreach :

Represent the organization at events, coordinate outreach efforts, and help maintain relationships with community partners.

Schedule:

Full-Time; Monday – Friday Flexibility is required for evening and weekend events

Pay Range:
