The work of this class entails conducting outreach meetings outside usual working hours. Work is performed under the general direction of the Human Services Manager. These tasks include outreach, developing outreach materials, client income verifications, database management, contract preparation, extensive reports requiring calculations, interpretation of reports and providing appropriate services. Incumbents usually work under the direction of a Program manager and may lead others in area of expertise, but they do not act in a supervisory role. Duties Assists with all aspects of the Lead Capacity Building Grant including preparation of the budgets, client intake, data management and support of the Program Manager in scheduling home assessments. Conduct data collection and analysis to assess the effectiveness of outreach efforts. Deliver presentations and public speaking engagements to promote programs and services. Manage projects related to outreach activities, ensuring timely execution and evaluation. Collaborate with social work professionals to identify community needs and tailor programs accordingly. Assures compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements for labor, procurement, environmental review, and equal opportunity. Utilize social media platforms for outreach purposes, enhancing visibility and engagement. Conducts research and analyses, reports on program accomplishments, and prepares reports or documents as required by granting agencies. Skills Some knowledge of Community Development Block Grant, Home Investment Partnerships (HOME) programs, and Department of Housing and Urban Development requirements. Knowledge of various wage and hour regulations and Acts governing federal grant awards. Familiarity with Lead Hazards and Lead Hazard Regulations. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, public officials, contractors, HUD representatives, other grant program representatives, non-profit organizations, engineers, and consultants Ability to assemble, organize and present, in written or oral form, financial or factual information devised from a variety of sources. Performs related work as required, including typing, filing, purchase requisitions, direct pays, time sheets when not engaged in primary responsibility described above. Ability to maintain necessary records and prepare required reports. Proficient in data collection methods and analysis techniques. Excellent public speaking skills, capable of engaging diverse audiences. Effective project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously. Knowledge of marketing strategies to effectively promote outreach initiatives. Familiarity with social media management tools to enhance outreach efforts.
