SUMMARY :
The Community Coordinator serves as the single point of contact, convener, facilitator, and implementer of the Louisiana Prisoner Reentry Initiative (LA-PRI) in the local community. The Community Coordinator partners and maintains effective working relationships with local, state, and federal elected/appointed officials, community leaders, and the public; ensures stakeholder knowledge and solicits program support and sponsorship from diverse groups within the community; addresses community concerns by serving as a liaison between the local community, support staff, affiliated agencies, and the public to ensure the execution of program logistics, client success, and system-wide change.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or
Experience:
A High School Diploma or HiSET equivalency is required. Preference will be given to candidates who have attended or graduated from an accredited college or university with a degree in Social Work, Counseling, Human Services, Criminal Justice, or a related field. A minimum of two (2) years of experience in office administration is required. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience working with, or a strong desire to support, individuals re-entering the community from incarceration is highly preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Possess a privately owned vehicle, a valid license, and automobile insurance, or must be able to access locations, possibly at a moments notice that may not be accessible by public transportation.

A background screening will be completed as a condition of employment.
