85,000 – $95,000 annual salary range

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time, onsite position based in our New Bedford office. The role is 35 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional attendance required at weeknight and weekend events.

About The Position:

The Outreach and Development Director executes initiatives within the 13 cities and towns of TWC’s catchment area to raise awareness about services and educate towards the prevention of domestic and sexual violence, oversee fundraising and donor relations, and directs marketing and communications strategies.

Organizational Leadership Develop and implement the strategic vision and goals for Outreach, Prevention Education, and Development in alignment with The Women’s Center’s mission and values. Interview and train new staff, providing ongoing coaching and feedback. Foster a team culture of accountability, collaboration, and equity. Ensure that all staff receive training and professional development to deliver high levels of service. Collaborate with other Directors and staff to facilitate integrated outreach, education, and development services. Other duties as assigned by Executive Director. Outreach and Prevention Education-Specific Develop and implement outreach strategies to promote The Women’s Center’s programs, events, and prevention initiatives. Lead education efforts that lead to prevention of domestic and sexual violence, including public presentations, school-based programs, professional training, and community workshops. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure prevention education is survivor-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive. Create compelling outreach and educational materials, including brochures, newsletters, and social media content, to engage with donors and the community. Establish and maintain partnerships with community organizations, schools, businesses, and other stakeholders to expand outreach and prevention efforts to diverse audiences. Track, evaluate, and report on education and outreach outcomes to inform continuous improvement and funding opportunities. Development-Specific Plan, coordinate, and execute the year-end fundraising campaign, the annual 5K event, and other fundraising initiatives to generate financial support for the organization. Identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors, sponsors, and partners to secure funding opportunities. Develop and implement strategies to expand the donor base and increase donation contributions. Manage and maintain the donor database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of donor information and contributions. Develop personalized stewardship plans to acknowledge and recognize donors for their support. Regularly communicate with donors through various channels to provide updates on the organization’s activities and impact. Skills and Abilities TWC core competencies: Adaptability, collaboration, communication, equity and social justice mindset, mission orientation, ownership Demonstrated ability to lead survivor-centered, trauma-informed programs Experience managing multi-site teams and navigating complex service delivery systems Strong supervision skills, with an emphasis on empowerment coaching and performance management Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving skills Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and client data systems Ability to maintain professional boundaries and manage confidential information appropriately Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communication, marketing or related field (Master’s preferred) Five years of experience in outreach, fundraising, or marketing, in a nonprofit setting. Experience in prevention education, training delivery, or public speaking Experience in survivor-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally competent environments Why You’ll Love Working Here?
