This role is vital in growing our membership, building community, and bringing energy to our clinics, events, and open play opportunities.

Position Overview:

The Membership Engagement and Outreach team member will work closely with current and prospective members to develop engaging programming, promote membership growth, and ensure a welcoming, vibrant community. This person must be highly active in the pickleball community and have a deep understanding of the sport. They will also collaborate directly with membership sales and assist with member questions and concerns.

Responsibilities:

Work closely with members to develop and promote clinics, social events, tournaments, and open plays that meet a wide variety of skill levels and interests. Collaborate with the membership sales team to promote memberships, close new sales, and assist prospective members through the joining process. Address member questions and concerns in a timely, professional manner to ensure a positive club experience. Create and execute strategies to engage the local pickleball community and maximize event attendance and membership growth. Build partnerships with local schools, businesses, and organizations to boost the club’s visibility. Promote club activities through social media, email, and other marketing outlets, working alongside the marketing team. Organize, schedule, and oversee all events, from small social mixers to larger tournaments. Monitor and track event participation, membership engagement, and program success through reports and analytics. Serve as a visible and enthusiastic ambassador for the Carolina Pickleball Club onsite and at external events.

Qualifications:

Strong understanding of and active involvement in the pickleball community is required. Experience in event planning, program coordination, membership sales, or customer engagement strongly preferred. Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. Comfortable promoting events and speaking with individuals and groups. Strong problem-solving skills, especially in addressing membership-related questions and concerns. Basic marketing knowledge (social media posting, email campaigns) is a plus. Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed for events and outreach activities.
