The ideal candidate will have experience working with diverse communities and the ability to work in-person events. This role will require work that happens on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Weekends. This is a temporary role through October 15, 2025. Responsibilities Distribute pro-Equality voter education, in coordination with the Communications Manager. Manage volunteer recruitment and training for canvassing and phone banking. Host and assist in events for community outreach, such as various Pride events. Collaborate with partner organizations in voter contact efforts and events. Market programs through various channels to increase participation and awareness within the community. Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful execution of initiatives. Provide support in program development by identifying community needs and aligning them with organizational goals. Skills Strong background in volunteer management. Experience in recruiting volunteers and managing teams effectively. Knowledge of the importance of local elected offices, especially Boards of Education. Willingness and competency at working with diverse communities, including BIPOC and LGBTQ+ people. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate diverse audiences. Previous experience working with canvassing platforms, such as VoteBuilder. Creative marketing skills to promote programs effectively within the community.
