Job Description
Community Outreach Coordinator Darbster Rescue Manchester, NH 03108 Purpose of the position: To serve as the primary contact for managing community partners and outreach efforts. To work cohesively with the NH Operations Manager and ED toensure overall coordination of all community and special events. Additionally, this position assists in the development, implementation, and management of community outreach efforts including but not limited to adoption events, fundraisers with local businesses and people, satellite adoption centers and foster/volunteer recruitment.
Duties:
- Pursues and looking for ways to increase our volunteer and partnership opportunities
- Creating and managing the volunteer schedules with Management
- Efforts in NH through online marketing, social media, community events, in person networking and other activities
- Orientation and Training – The Coordinator welcomes new volunteers through regularly scheduled orientation sessions which include our mission, clocking in/out of our scheduling system, and orientation of the facility and their responsibilities as volunteers
- Overseeing all volunteer scheduling and training (including scheduling, content and implementation) Track and access volunteer statistics Matching volunteers with opportunities that best suit their skills and interests and serve the organization Scheduling, organizing and executing formal and informal volunteer appreciation efforts (awards, celebrations, etc.).
- Managing the overall relationship of new adoption partners Assists Operation Manager and Executive Director with the development and implementation of special events. Checks in bi-weekly with all animal fosters who have animals and puts follow up notes into Salesforce
- Understanding why volunteers join Darbster Foundation and how we can serve them better Working with staff to provide a supportive welcoming environment for volunteers and an environment in which safety is clearly explained and policies outlined in the SOP adhered to.
Help volunteers integrate into the Darbster Foundation Environment Providing frequent communication with volunteers/fosters (feedback) and getting said feedback back to key staff. Continually looking for ways to strengthen the volunteer/foster program and improve volunteer/foster experience Responsible for have donors tracked and thank you notes for NH donors. Maintaining and developing donor records Prepare weekly informational emails to volunteers as needed to keep abreast of shelter & offsite volunteer needs and efforts being made Implementing and acting as administration on the Darbster Foundation Volunteer Facebook Group Creating and updating volunteer protocols, SOPs and training materials Participate in leadership meetings and staff meetings
