Mission Market Manager Classification Grade 6 SSD | Salary from81,420.00/yr Department Home Office | Mission Delivery FLSA StatusFull Time | Exempt Supervisor (title) Senior Director, CommunityImpact Initiatives Location Remote working from New Jersey PositionSummary (Basic purpose or primary function of job) The MissionMarket Manager is responsible for promoting and delivering missionprograms in assigned markets. The Manager will collaborate closelywith the national mission delivery team to raise awareness andexecute activities supporting national and local priorities inpatient education, community connections, and Juvenile Arthritis(JA) & Young Adults (YA) programming while integrating advocacy,science activities, and the Helpline into outreach efforts. Thisrole involves cross-departmental collaboration and supporting theSenior Director, Community Impact Initiatives in identifying andmanaging relationships with community-based organizations andcorporations, healthcare providers, and mission volunteers toachieve mission goals. The Manager will also develop and managevolunteer teams to support mission initiatives and engage LocalLeadership Board (LLB) members. Under the direction of the SeniorDirector, Community Impact Initiatives, the Manager will maintainproactive communication and build partnerships with local ExecutiveDirectors and Development Directors to ensure consistent deliveryof mission objectives, monitor progress toward annual metric goals,and support community engagement activities. Delivering and PromotingMission:
Schedule and coordinate the delivery of patient educationinitiatives and JA Days in local markets. Promote and support thedelivery of national patient education initiatives, Connect Groups,and JA/YA programs: JA Power Pack, JA Camps, and JA Family Summit.
Integrate the promotion of the Helpline and advocacy and scienceinitiatives.
Community Outreach and Engagement:
Plan and executecommunity outreach initiatives to increase awareness about missioninitiatives and increase the reach and numbers served across allnational and local mission activities. Activate partnerships andcollaborations with community-based organizations and assist theSenior Director, Community Impact Initiatives in cultivating andmanaging these relationships to support the delivery of missionactivities in the market(s).
Volunteer Recruitment, Management, andEngagement:
Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to assist withcommunity outreach and promotional activities and to support thedelivery of mission activities in the market(s). Work with thelocal Executive Directors to engage Local Leadership Board inmission activities.
Health Care Provider Outreach and Management:
In collaboration with local market staff, initiate, cultivate, andmanage relationships with health care providers, healthcareorganizations/systems, healthcare-related businesses, andprofessional medical organizations to support mission initiatives.
Mission Metrics and Program Reporting:
Enter and manage data onparticipant, volunteer, and healthcare provider engagement levelsin CRM. Monitor and update market/state-level annual and monthlymission metrics. Assist in writing program reports for internal andexternal stakeholders.
Collaboration and Supporting RevenueDevelopment:
Collaborate with local development staff to showcasemission, recruit participants, and personally participate in localfundraising events such as the Walk to Cure Arthritis, the JingleBell Walk/Run, and other special events. All other duties asassigned by the Senior Director, Community Impact Initiatives.
Support other projects/initiatives as assigned. Required Experience& Education Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 3 – 5 years ofdemonstrated experience in program coordination, communityoutreach/engagement, voluntary health, or related field experiencepreferred. Demonstrated success in managing community relationshipsand recruiting, training, and managing volunteers. Highlyorganized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with the ability to setgoals and meet deadlines. This includes strong time management,project management, and meeting management skills. Superior oraland written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills withdemonstrated ability to interact positively and workcollaboratively in a diverse environment with individuals at alllevels inside and outside the organization, including staff andvolunteers; proven presentation skills are a plus. Demonstratedability to work across an organization to influence and coordinateresources and achieve organizational objectives. Ability to work inremote/virtual environments. Proficiency with Microsoft OfficeSuite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), web-based applications,social media, and computer equipment. Valid driver’s license (someovernight travel may be required).
Value Added Qualifications:
Previous experience working with adults, children, and theirfamilies with chronic health conditions. Previous experienceworking with health care providers, professional medicalorganizations, and diverse communities. Bilingual skills (Spanish)are a plus.
