Prevention Coordinator 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars Tracy City, TN 37387 Volunteer Behavioral Healthcare System is now seeking a Prevention Coordinator in the Tracy City Tn, area Pay range:38K-42K depending on experience. Qualifications/Deal-Breakers (education, experience, etc.): BS degree or equivalent. Experience with managing grant funded programs, social media and other media promotion, familiar with health and social disparities in rural Tennessee, able to work well with community members, elected officials, and sector members to build program membership, build volunteer base, and expand prevention efforts in Grundy County. Expected to complete required training and conference attendance, sometimes out of town and overnight. Travel to trainings, events, community events required. Experience with working with youth and young adults. Typical Schedule (days of the week, hours, full or part-time): Full-time, mostly Mon-Fri 8 am – 4:30 pm; required community outreach, training, and events after hours and some weekends. The Grundy Safe Communities Coalition prevention coordinator’s role is to manage and support the coalition, and supporting partners, working together towards substance misuse among youth, young adults and families. This includes organizing, engaging the community, planning events, and communicating effectively to achieve shared objectives. The prevention coordinator also manages budgets, tracks progress, and provides resources and support to coalition members and stakeholders. Required to attend CADCA Academy training within first year of employment. Required to maintain training requirements as described in grant contracts. This includes online, local and out of town travel when necessary. Here’s a more detailed breakdown of the responsibilities:1.

Planning and Organization:

Scheduling, planning, and facilitating Coalition meetings, including preparing agendas, distributing materials, and managing minutes. Assisting the coalition in developing and implementing a strategic plan and action plan. Overseeing and coordinating activities related to the coalition’s goals and objectives in accordance with SAMHSA protocols including inclusive language, and substance misuse descriptions relating to prevention. 2.

Community Engagement:

Identifying and recruiting new coalition members, as well as engaging and retaining existing members. Developing and implementing outreach programs to promote coalition activities and initiatives. Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with community leaders, partners, and stakeholders. 3.

Communication and Collaboration:

Ensuring effective communication within the coalition and with external stakeholders. Representing the coalition at meetings, events, and other gatherings. Working collaboratively with coalition members, partners, and stakeholders to achieve shared goals. 4.

Resource Management:

Managing the coalition’s budget and ensuring financial accountability. Identifying and securing grants to support the coalition’s activities. Monitoring and reporting on the coalition’s progress toward its goals. 5.

Advocacy and Policy:

Coordinating advocacy efforts to influence policy and funding priorities. Researching and analyzing policy developments related to the coalition’s goals. Creating materials to support coalition advocacy efforts, such as position statements and fact sheets.
