Cornerstone Christian Church is seeking a passionate, strategic, and relational leader to serve as our Director of Elementary Education. This role oversees all discipleship programming for 2nd through 5th grade, helping children grow in their faith through engaging, gospel-centered, and developmentally appropriate environments. As part of our Family Ministries team, this role provides spiritual leadership, classroom oversight, and vision for weekly Kids Church, midweek Awana programming, digital content, and special events. You’ll work alongside an invested staff team and volunteers to create a safe, weing space w kids can encounter Jesus and develop a lifelong faith foundation. We’re looking for someone who is gifted in both teaching and team-building—someone who understands how to disciple children and equip volunteers, manage classrooms, and build trust with parents. Key Responsibilities:

Lead all 2nd-5th grade programming, including Sunday mornings, Awana, and seasonal events
Equip and coach volunteers for effective classroom discipleship
Communicate clearly and relationally with parents and guardians
Collaborate with the Family Ministries team on a long-term discipleship strategy
Ensure adnce to safety protocols and maintain a healthy volunteer culture
Appropriate participation in the Middle School Youth Group to bridge the transition

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Elementary or Early Childhood Education (or similar)
Experience in teaching, children’s ministry, or discipleship settings
Strong classroom management andmunication skills
Confidence in navigating conflict and care conversations
Familiarity with Christian theology and child discipleship
Fundamental theological knowledge for discipling 2nd-5th grade children
Administrative andanizational abilities
Skill in delegation and team-building
Relational and pastoralmunication with children, parents, and volunteers
Basic Digital Literacy for equipping the church with sound, tech, and software The candidate has: Ability to adapt teaching and leadership approaches to the developmental and cultural needs of elementary-aged children.
Capacity to think strategically and align programs with broader ministry vision and discipleship goals.
Flexibility and creative problem-solving in fast-paced, dynamic ministry environments.
Proficiency with digital tools for discipleship,munication, and curriculum delivery.
Ability to foster a healthy, motivated volunteer culture through encouragement, feedback, and relational investment.
Be an active part of Sunday worship services and the Cornerstone Christian Churchmunity.
Support church-wide events, trainings, and outreach initiatives.
Work collaboratively with other Cornerstone Christian Church staff and ministries to ensure unity and alignment with vision and mission.
