We are looking for an individual with a commitment to collaboration, who can help coordinate a program led largely by volunteers. Ours is a community that prizes creativity and fresh thinking and there is room for both in this new position. Duties In person on 2-3 Sundays per month, 4 hours max Supporting non-teacher volunteers in the classroom Addressing the questions and concerns of new and existing families Scheduling classes, themes, and special events in collaboration with the Minister Coordinate classes and events, planning ahead and communicating to ensure success Registering families and maintaining attendance and other data Volunteer recruitment and ongoing support and training Regular communication with families and the congregation to inform, assess needs, and gather feedback for program improvement Adjusting curricula to fit classroom needs Working with the minister to ensure continued compliance with our Safe Congregation Policy Requirements Enthusiastic and organized Teaching experience Training in classroom management and varied learning styles Strong communicator with adults and children Flexible and adaptable, including to last minute issues Comfortable building positive relationships with both staff and volunteers Experienced with GSuite and the use of technology in the classroom Displays good judgement and professionalism Training in mandated reporting and best practices for children’s safety While we are looking for flexibility in our candidate we are also willing to offer it to candidates with varied career backgrounds and levels of experience.
