II JOB DESCRIPTION
The University of Florida’s Office of Admissions is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Admissions Officer II to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing and evaluating undergraduate applications, assessing transfer credits, and collaborating with various university departments to manage admissions decisions.
Key responsibilities include:
Application Processing Review and evaluate undergraduate admissions applications to ensure they meet university requirements and standards.
Collaborate with upper-division colleges on key processes, including application deadlines, available entry terms, and referral standards.
Ensure admissions decisions are made and communicated by designated release deadlines.
Manage the workflow of applications to ensure timely and accurate processing. Communications Communicate with prospective students and parents via phone, email, and in person, providing accurate information about transfer admissions.
Serve as a contact for campus partners. Other duties Provide support to OneStop staff by addressing escalated admissions-related inquiries received via phone, email, or in person at the Admissions or OneStop lobbies.
Participate in cross-functional events, advise on committees, and engage in Q&A sessions to support OneStop operations.
Assist with special projects as assigned by supervisor, supporting various initiatives within the Office of Admissions. This position is located at the University of Florida’s main campus in Gainesville, FL. The selected candidate will work on site and may be eligible for a flexible, hybrid work arrangement in accordance with the University of Florida and Division of Enrollment Management’s policies.
EXPECTED SALARY

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Master’s degree in an appropriate area; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience.

Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with others
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to exercise good judgment and work with minimal supervision
