Enrollment Management’s integrated services provide distinctive support throughout the student’s development and progression in their academic experience – from recruitment through commencement. Through collaboration, communication, and commitment, all units within Enrollment Management achieve the highest level of student-centered service to current and prospective students and families and to campus partners across the University. Responsible for the evaluation of first-year and transfer application types and the implementation of University policies and procedures as they relate to Spring Admissions and the Pathway Programs. Responsible for advising and counseling students offered spring admission. Reviews all prior coursework to determine if student is eligible to participate in program and will make recommendations on eligibility. Works directly with students who have been denied admission to the University and develops an individualized action plan for students to adhere to in order to gain acceptance. Works with first-year students who were denied admission who graduate from high school while earning their AA degree simultaneously by developing an academic plan to gain acceptance. Meets with students regularly to discuss progress and serves as main contact for students and families. Reviews all college coursework and final transcripts to determine admissibility to the university. Represents the University for first-year and transfer admissions. Works closely with departmental representatives and faculty regarding the students participating in one of the four Pathway Program options. Extensive contact with prospective students, parents, guidance counselors, alumni, patrons of the University, and the general public. Provides interpretation of policies and procedures to aforementioned entities. Some contact with principals and teachers. Participates in special events hosted by the Office of Admissions. Assists in the coordination and management of the application review process for first-year and transfer students to the University. Responsible for the implementation of University policies and procedures as they relate to first-year and transfer admissions. Shares in the management of the acknowledgment of incomplete first-year applications. Some travel throughout Florida and out of state. Position requires operation of a motor vehicle to fulfill travel needs. Counsels prospective students and represents the University at sponsored events pertaining to Admissions and provides information about the University and its programs. Assists in the review and evaluation of policies and procedures, making suggestions and recommendations to senior leadership. Assists other sections during peak times in support of the goals of the Office of Admissions. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience; or a high school diploma/equivalent and five years of experience. (

a combination of post high school education and experience equal to five years.) Must have a valid Florida or Georgia Driver’s License, or the ability to obtain prior to hire. Preferred Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of complimentary experience preferred. We seek enthusiastic candidates who are detail-oriented, and who work well independently as well as in a team. Experience working with broad populations, reviewing transcripts, and interpreting and applying admissions tests is preferred. Candidates should have the ability to review, analyze, formulate, and organize data and information and follow through on assignments. Experience should be relevant and related to the responsibilities of the job. Qualified candidates will possess the ability to prioritize and organize multiple work assignments simultaneously. Experience counseling and/or providing expertise and advice is required. Qualified candidates will have experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook or comparable software. Applicants should be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships and be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ideal candidates will have a strong sense of initiative, the demonstrated ability to manage multiple responsibilities concurrently, and the ability to make sound judgments while working in a deadline-driven environment.
