Miami Job Corps is an education and training center located inMiami Gardens FL We are a Center which uses student-focusedprograms to ensure successful training and employment placement foreach individual we serve. We are looking for an exceptionalRegistered Nurse to join our team of professionals.

Responsible for the recruitment and arrival coordination of JobCorps students. Identifies and develops Center- beneficialpartnerships that lead to student benefit and success. Determinesstudent qualifications, eligibility and suitability for Job Corpsenrollment. Ensures strict confidentiality of sensitive informationand integrity of student data. May supervise assigned WBL students.

Follows all integrity guidelines and procedures and ensures nomanipulation of student data. Ensures Center meets or exceedsDOL/Company performance goals. Conducts comprehensive screeningprocedures to determine applicants eligibility and suitability forthe Job Corps Program. Secures and evaluates applicants behavioral,medical and educational records. Denies applicant enrollment andrefers applicants to other educational resources. Conducts thoroughassessment activities and career counseling during the admissionsprocess. Serves as a liaison to Center staff to facilitate aseamless enrollment process and early student retention. Worksclosely with community agencies, employment services, high schools,trade and technical schools and other agencies to informprospective applicants about the Job Corps program. Acts as aliaison between the Job Corps Center and community agencies.

Develops and maintains referral linkages in the community. ConductsCenter tours, pre-arrival visits and Parent meetings. Producesquality work/assignments in a thorough, timely and accurate manner.

Maintains appropriate personal attendance, accountability and workproductivity standards. Plans, prioritizes and organizesassignments to meet established goals and deadlines. Understandsand applies job knowledge to effectively complete all required jobresponsibilities. Proactively maintains the skills required toperform job duties. Mentors, monitors and models the Career SuccessStandards as required by the PRH. Provides high-quality supervisionand management for the student population. Takes swift andappropriate action and positively influences student behavior.

Shows respect and courtesy to students and holds them accountablefor their actions and behavior. Provides quality programs andservices for students and ensures that quality is maintained andstudent needs are met. Pursues improvement and enhancement ofprograms and services. Exchanges ideas and information, both orallyand in writing, in a clear and concise manner and contributesmeaningfully to group efforts by offering relevant ideas andknowledge. Provides quality and timely information to DOL/Companywhen requested. Effectively articulates thoughts and ideas.

Identifies problems, analyzes causes and evaluates appropriatesolutions prior to taking or recommending actions. Follows up toensure prompt/appropriate action is taken and that problems are infact corrected. Works in partnership with staff from allDepartments to ensure effective supervision and services areprovided to students. Accepts direction and supervision from theCenter Director/Center Duty Officer/Shift Manager to includeassignments to temporarily perform job responsibilities of otherdepartments and positions. Other duties as assigned. QualificationsAssociates degree in human services, psychology, counseling,education, social science, communications or closely related fieldand two years related experience required. Bachelors degree inhuman services, psychology, counseling, education, social science,communications, or closely related field preferred. Experience mayinclude successful Job Corps enrollment or successful enrollment inother youth development programs.
