Spa School Admissions and Outreach Officer Spa Tech Institute Westbrook, ME 04092 • Hybrid work We are looking for a dynamic and outgoing sales professional, preferably with experience in the cosmetology, aesthetics and massage industry, who loves to educate and teach future students about the exciting opportunity to have a creative career that they love. The position requires reaching out to high school guidance counselors, career development centers and other career oriented organizations or individuals to create opportunities to present the spa and beauty industry both at the Spa Tech Institute as well as on site at schools and other career oriented venues in Southern Maine and New Hampshire. If you have skills to demonstrate the actual art of cosmetology, aesthetics or spa related services, that can be a fun part of the job as well. Helping to coordinate the events along with presenting and following up with potential future students for interviews, campus tours and enrollment through virtual meetings or in person is an additional fun part of the job. Helping people to get started in a great profession for them is personally rewarding, particularly when you see them graduate and build their business. Additionally you will want to build a referral network with past graduates and employers to help with placement of graduates as well as getting personal referrals for new students. You can also do online or in person interviews with students who contact the school. A typical week would involve a mix of being in the field doing presentations, building your network of contacts in the schools and career development community, doing online interviews and meetings with prospective students at the campus, coordinating and either hosting or being a presenter at events at the school and at outside events, and assisting future students with the enrollment process. Also, developing high school guidance and career development center contacts and doing school fairs throughout the year is an important and fun part of the job. You will be the primary admissions officer for the school in Westbrook and will work closely with the Hybrid Admissions Officer team in developing your online interview and follow up skills as well as meeting with the local campus director when meeting students at the campus. The prospective students are often referred to the school by graduates and employers or are responding from our website. We do not buy leads or cold call lists but only respond to people who have already expressed an interest in our programs.

Responsibilities:

Develop a network of career oriented contacts and opportunities to present to future students, guidance counselors and career development professionals Collaborate with the admissions team to develop and implement online interview skills Conduct outreach activities to attract prospective students, including attending college fairs and high school visits Review applications and evaluate candidates based on established admission criteria Conduct interviews with prospective students to assess their fit for our institution Provide accurate and timely information about our programs and admission information to prospective students that meets all compliance requirements Assist students with the application process, including guiding them through the necessary paperwork Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices in admissions

Skills:
