THIS IS A REMOTE POSITION.
Under the general supervision of the Assistant Director of Admissions, the Regional Admissions Counselor is responsible for promoting the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities in an assigned territory through presentations in schools and community organizations, as well as participation in festivals and conferences throughout the state. The Regional Admissions Counselor assists with the training of other employees, the development, implementation, and management of the application system, and the training of school personnel on the use of the application system. The Regional Admissions Counselor will serve as the first line of communication between prospective students/families in their assigned territory, art discipline, and the school. The job duties of this position include but are not limited to the following:
Schedules and attends school visits in an assigned territory, along with community organizations, summer camps presentations, etc.
Processes application materials and assists applicants and families with the application process. Communicates with applicants and families throughout the application season.
Shares management of the application system with the Assistant Director of Admissions. Updates and creates application components. Troubleshoots the application system with the application provider and other stakeholders.
Assists with Admissions Office registration for conferences and festivals. Attends conferences and festivals as assigned. In coordination with the Assistant Director of Admissions, assists in training other staff on admissions functions and tasks. Assists with events, activities, mailings, etc. in support of recruitment initiatives.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum and Additional Requirements
A bachelor’s degree and relevant program experience.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (G Suite). Excellent written and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Must be able to work productively in an approved remote environment, variable hours and shifts, including weekends.
This position requires extensive travel, including overnight travel. Must have your own vehicle for travel.

Preferred Qualifications
