As a School Social Worker,you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside a dynamic team ofmental health professionals, collaborating closely with students,families, and school staff to address their unique needs and fostergrowth. Your role will be pivotal in providing behavioral, emotional, andeducational counseling to both groups and individuals, assistingstudents in adjusting to school and community life, and serving asa liaison to other agencies for our day students enrolled in MountProspect Academy’s academic programs.

Summary of Job Responsibilities:

Collaborating with the Individual Education Plan (IEP) teammembers regarding student progress on applied counselinggoals. Working with team members to develop and update IndividualizedCrisis Support Plans for each student; these will be drafted duringthe first week of enrollment and updated routinely based on theneeds of the student. Providing clinical support to students focusing on personalstrengths and challenges and developing adaptive strategies toassist the student in achieving success, through a skills-basedapproach. Writing and presenting comprehensive case conceptualizations tofaculty, referrals, families and administration. Building a positive therapeutic rapport with students andfaculty, while supporting a trauma informed approach within theacademic setting Using the Restorative Justice Planning process to supportstudents with accountability and being a positive member of theacademic community Collaborating and developing individualized plans for eachstudent and providing documentation of student participation andbehavior through daily case notes Maintaining student files within the established protocols andpolicy guidelines to insure clarity, continuity andconfidentiality Coordinating contact between family, school and other investedstakeholders to ensure a best practice and holistic approach totreatment Coordinating weekly Treatment Team meetings to monitor studentgrowth and progress Documenting all collateral contacts including telephone andemail pertaining to treatment Overseeing bi-weekly reports and monitoring trauma informedcommunication between school and external contacts, includingreview of data with the academic team Providing individual and group counseling services withdocumentation of all treatment provided maintained in case notesand service logs completed within the MPA prescribedtimelines Attending all meetings that are focused on the identifiedstudent as needed. Developing and maintaining community, governmental, and otherpublic and private resources and relationships, includingparticipating in professional organizations Facilitating trauma trainings for all faculty as part of theyearly academic training calendar Supporting crisis intervention within the academicsetting Providing safety assessments for SI/HI behaviors, andconsulting with other clinicians as necessary Maintaining student confidentiality and reporting all pertinentinformation to the academic administrators Professionally representing Mount Prospect Academy Inc. whilecollaborating with external stakeholders Following all company policies and procedures. Continuing to research current Evidence Based Practices tosupport personal, professional and program development Maintaining a lifelong learning approach to professionaldevelopment, including a plan for professional licensure,maintaining certification with the NH DOE and other professionalgoals. Experience:

Master’s degree in social work, Mental Health Counseling,Psychology, or related field required. Licensed or in process of being licensed through the NHDepartment of Education and NH Board of Mental HealthPractice. NH DOE Certification in School Social Work. Minimum 2 years’ experience counseling adolescents andfamilies. Position requires a criminal history background check.
