Job Description
1.0 FTE High School Social Worker
Qualifications:
Must have certification as Social Worker (071)
Support the coordination and facilitation of 504/IEP meetings
Consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, support, staff, parents, and outside providers in promoting student success
Complete psychosocial assessments, developmental histories, BIP’s, and IEP goals and objectives
Develop and implement therapeutic counseling for groups and individuals
Participate as a member of the MTSS team and provide consultative services for staff and families
Supervise the referral of students to outside agencies such as DCF, Juvenile Court, and other various social service agencies (DCF mandates and hotline knowledge essential)
Crisis Intervention:
social, emotional, behavioral, psychiatric
Be knowledgeable and current regarding available community resources
Previous experience in the public school setting preferred
Be comfortable presenting data to teachers, administrators, and Board of Education
Other duties as determined by the principal
Follows the OEA contract
OEA Collective Bargaining Agreement
