Serving grades 5-8; working with students with IEPs and 504 plans Job Overview Soliant is seeking a passionate Social Worker to serve as a long-term substitute at a middle school in Connecticut. This role focuses on supporting students’ emotional, social, and behavioral development through individual and group counseling sessions. The social worker will collaborate closely with school staff and families to implement effective support plans, ensure compliance with IEP service minutes, and provide crisis intervention as needed. Responsibilities Conduct individual and group counseling to support student well-being. Work with school staff and families to develop and implement student support plans. Respond to crises, provide timely interventions, and connect families with community resources. Advocate for student needs while ensuring adherence to regulations. Assist with IEP paperwork, attend department meetings, and help meet student service minutes requirements. Provide training on mental health and behavior management strategies.
