Videos Duties Social Work :

The incumbent is assigned to work with special pient populions with highly complex health or mental health problems, such as those encountered in a community based outpient clinic. The senior social worker provides psychosocial interventions and concrete services to the populion served in the CBOC. The incumbent works closely with the primary care and specialty practitioners and psychirist without social work supervision of the clinic to provide needed services to the veterans served in the CBOC. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Incumbent performs specialized trement of complex physical or mental illness. Incumbent incorpores complex multiple causion in differential diagnosis and trement of veteran pients, including making psychosocial and psychiric diagnoses within approved clinical privileges or scope of practice. Incumbent is able to provide individual, group, and family psychotherapy and advanced level case management interventions used in the trement of veterans with polytrauma injuries, spinal cord injuries, traumic brain injuries, visual impairment, post-traumic stress disorder, addictions, severe mental illness (SMI), and other serious disorders. The incumbent practices in specialty mental health areas utilizing outcome evaluions to improve trement services. Incumbent is able to demonstre the ability to design changes based on empirical findings. Incumbent offers consultion to colleagues and students on the psychosocial trement of pients treed in specialty areas, rendering professional opinions based on experience and expertise and role modeling effective social work practice skills. Demonstres the ability to teach and mentor staff and students in the special area of practice and to provide supervision for licensure or specialty certificions. Other duties as assigned.
