This role is responsible for the facilitation of Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) and Permanency Staffing meetings. This role is essential in supporting timely and effective decision-making for children in care. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and documentation skills, a working knowledge of child welfare practices, and a passion for helping children achieve safe and permanent outcomes. R esponsibilities Facilitate meetings that may result in competing opinions and recommendations from those who must or may be invited and are involved in the life of the child. Mediate disagreements during staffings to ensure effective communication between participating individuals and identify strengths within the family when determining and establishing goals for the child. Utilize a trauma-sensitive, strength-based approach to engaging families and youth in the staffing process. Timely development and drafting of written reports for the court that outline the positions of the team and the overall decisions of meetings facilitated. Testify, as necessary, before the court. Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with organizations and other agencies involved with the child welfare system. Ongoing and accurate data organization and tracking. Offer support to co-workers. Q ualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Human Services. Master’s degree preferred. 3+ years of child welfare experience preferred. Experience in Facilitation/Mediation preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Strong customer service, effective communication and organizational skills needed. Requires ability to use independent judgment, problem solve and have a dedicated attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive data. Child Welfare Certification preferred. Successful completion of Level 2 background screening.
