A Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians Implement and deliver weekly lessons for youth programs based on the curriculum selected by the director Work under the direction of the director of next generation ministry to coordinate and develop youth programs Ensure volunteers are prepared and supported in delivering programs Be available to address parents’ questions, concerns, and suggestions Instruct and guide youth to understand and apply the Bible in their lives Adhere to PCPC policies outlined in the Employee Handbook and Child Protection Policy Promote, implement, and participate in the following youth programs: Weekly youth groups for middle and high school Plan and lead weekly youth group meetings that foster spiritual growth and fellowship Deliver lessons from PCPC’s selected curriculum Create a welcoming environment for youth to ask questions and share their faith journey Organize small group discussions and activities to encourage personal reflection and connection Youth involvement in worship services Work with the worship team to integrate youth participation through music, scripture reading, prayer, and testimony Encourage active worship engagement by providing age-appropriate opportunities Seasonal events (VBS, Easter, summer missions, church-wide festivals, summer camp, etc.) Support the director by implementing and leading youth participation in seasonal events, ensuring youth engagement, and following up after events Communicate with parents and youth about upcoming events and involvement opportunities Outreach initiatives (e.g. First Priority at middle and high schools) Collaborate with the director to support outreach initiatives for youth programs, ensuring spiritual growth and community involvement Build relationships with school staff and community leaders to enhance outreach efforts Support youth in leading and participating in school-based faith-sharing activities Encourage youth to invite friends to church and youth group events Develop outreach strategies to engage unchurched youth in a welcoming environment The student ministry specialist reports to the director of next generation ministry.

Requirements:

Must be at least 25 years of age and have a high School diploma; AA degree preferred A committed Christian with a deep understanding of and alignment with PCPC’s mission and values Two years of experience working with teens in a ministry, educational, or similar setting; five years preferred Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple programs and events Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a heart for building relationships with children, families, and volunteers Ability to work collaboratively with PCPC staff, volunteers, and parents Flexibility and creativity in implementing and developing age-appropriate lessons and activities Must pass a background check and comply with PCPC’s Child Protection Policy and Employee Handbook Availability to work weekends, evenings, and during key seasonal events
