CVAVP’s mission is to foster a safe and supportive community through primary prevention programs, trauma-informed survivor empowerment, and compassionate, confidential services. This dual-role position is based on the St. Petersburg campus and will serve as both an advocate and prevention coordinator: Advocacy services include providing crisis intervention, assisting survivors in navigating reporting processes (e.g., law enforcement, Title IX, Student Conduct), and offering emotional support through an empowerment-based model. Prevention initiatives involve developing, implementing, and evaluating campus-based violence prevention programs, strengthening partnerships with campus stakeholders, and expanding outreach efforts to underserved student populations. While this position reports directly to the Director of the Center for Victim Advocacy & Violence Prevention at USF Tampa, daily supervision will be provided by the Assistant Director of Victim Advocacy and the Assistant Director of Violence Prevention. This role is classified as Essential Personnel for USF, St. Petersburg, in matters related to health, wellness, and emergency response. The position includes an on-call component, with some evening and weekend hours required. Onboarding will take place on the Tampa campus, necessitating transportation to Tampa for approximately the first six weeks.
