Requirements:
We are seeking a professional, friendly, and empathetic Memorial Coordinator to be the point of contact for fallen hero friends, families, and mission members. The ideal candidate will have served in the Military, Law Enforcement, or as a First Responder. The Memorial Coordinator will work with the rest of the Fallen Hero Team to process applications and donate memorial plaques to fallen heroes’ families. In this role, you will verify the eligibility of memorial plaque, coordinate plaque deliveries, and respond to customer inquiries regarding memorial plaques. Working as a Memorial Coordinator for Til Valhalla Project (TVP) is a unique and rewarding opportunity but challenging. The Coordinator will verify at least 72 applications monthly (18 weekly at minimum) that share the service, lives, and death of Military, First Responders, and Law Enforcement Fallen Heroes. The Ideal candidate can compartmentalize the content within the applications and focus on the privilege of honoring the fallen heroes and the service they led. While working as the Fallen Hero Memorial Coordinator, you are part of the Fallen Hero Team. As part of the team, you may have to work outside your role to help accomplish the mission.
What We Expect From You:
Serve as the point of contact for Fallen hero applicants, recipients, families, and Legacy Guardians. Exercise tact, compassion, and patience when communicating with family members and applicants. Manage the approval process of fallen hero applications, verifying information and eligibility. Guide applicants and families through the application process and communicate eligibility guidelines Research and verify discrepancies in applications of fallen heroes and relay updates to personnel to create cohesive, accurate content. Retain an up-to-date Legacy Guardian volunteer delivery database, vetting and approving volunteers for plaque deliveries. Arrange plaque deliveries, selecting Legacy Guardians to deliver memorial plaques. Collect required delivery waivers and documentation. Respond to general customer inquiries regarding memorial plaques via written and telephone communication. Organize and provide facility tours to customers, memorial recipients, and mission members. Assist in proofreading content for errors and inconsistencies before submission. Meet all regular and recurring deadlines. Cross-train and aid other departments during lulls in your day. Succeed:
High school diploma or equivalent Served in the Military, Law Enforcement, or as a First Responder Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and an ethical mindset A professional yet approachable demeanor. Superior attention to detail Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Bilingual—fluency in Spanish or another language is a plus.
