Job Description

Family Engagement Activities Plan, organize, and lead meaningful family engagement events that foster strong relationships between the school and families. Ones that correspond with time of year. Ex. Open house in Aug. Develop activities that encourage parent involvement in student learning and school life, including literacy nights, cultural celebrations, and volunteer opportunities. Serve as a bridge between school staff and families, promoting open communication and collaboration. Support initiatives that empower families to become active partners in their child’s education journey. 2. Field Trip Coordination Coordinate educational and recreational field trips that align with classroom curriculum and support student development. Manage all logistics including scheduling, transportation, permissions, budgeting, and safety protocols. Collaborate with teachers and administration to select destinations that enhance student learning and cultural awareness. Ensure all field trips are well-organized, memorable, and inclusive for all students. 3. Community-Building Events and Activities Create and host school-wide events that promote a strong sense of belonging among students, parents, and staff. Plan seasonal celebrations, spirit weeks, school fairs, and other community-focused activities. Encourage parent and community participation to strengthen school culture and unity. Foster a welcoming environment where students and families feel valued, seen, and heard. 4. Parent Volunteer Liaison Recruit, coordinate, and support parent volunteers for various school functions, classroom support, and special events. Provide orientation, guidance, and resources to ensure volunteers feel prepared and appreciated. Maintain a schedule of volunteer activities and ensure roles are clearly communicated and organized. Cultivate strong relationships with parent volunteers, recognizing their contributions as vital to the success and spirit of the school.
