Job Description

Foster Care Caseworker Generational Child Care 275 Northside Xing, Macon, GA 31210 I.

JOB DUTIES

(Job duties include, but are not limited to the following:) Provide direct placement of the children (to include transporting) Provide monthly supervisory visits (ECEM and general contact) (upload within 72 hours into GA Score) Facilitate pre-placement visits and call (at least one call and visit during the first week) Work with foster parents to make sure they have appropriate training Act as a liaison between staff members and foster parents Document foster parent requests and work with supervisor and staff to address and respond to requests Notify foster parents of meetings, hearings, etc. days prior to meeting Attend necessary school and court meeting, reviews, and hearings Be the on-call emergency supervisor The caseworker may perform other duties as assigned by Executive Director and/or Assistant Director for Foster care services within the agency Provide 2 academic supports to all children on caseload monthly Foster Care – Task Focused Responsibilities Facilitate children and foster parent workshops yearly to include needed training topics Coordinate recognition and appreciation events Form support groups/organizations for foster children Investigate alleged foster parent rule violations and cite all violations Complete foster parent home evaluations Deescalate incidents and crisis Plan, implement, and execute a child’s case plan Complete home studies evaluation of foster homes Recruit and prepare foster families files Maintenance of foster parent and children file items

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in social work/social services from an accredited college or university or related field in psychology, childhood education, education counseling, psychology, or human services or behavioral science or health field related. Valid Georgia driver’s license and proof of car insurance coverage. Good written and oral communication skills. Responsible, mature and organized.

$40,800.00 – $50,400.00 per year
