Summer Camp Teacher Early Childhood Center Riverdale, GA 30296 Job Summary We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our team for an enriching summer experience. The Camp Counselor will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and educational environment for campers. This position involves working closely with children, facilitating activities, and ensuring their well-being throughout the camp experience. Ideal candidates will have a passion for working with youth and the ability to inspire and educate through various activities. Responsibilities Supervise and engage with campers during daily activities, ensuring their safety and enjoyment. Plan, organize, and lead recreational and educational activities such as arts and crafts, sports, and team-building exercises. Foster a positive camp environment by encouraging participation and promoting teamwork among campers. Provide guidance and support to campers in developing new skills and building confidence. Maintain clear communication with campers regarding rules, schedules, and expectations. Monitor camper behavior and address any issues or conflicts that arise in a constructive manner. Assist in the implementation of health and safety protocols. Requirements Experience working with students or children in settings such as childcare, tutoring, or sports coaching is preferred. Knowledge of early childhood education principles is a plus. Familiarity with special education practices is advantageous for supporting diverse camper needs. Certification in First Aid or CPR is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and fellow staff members.
