As a Camp Coordinator, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for campers. You will be responsible for supervising daily activities, fostering positive relationships with campers, and promoting personal growth through various programs. Ideal candidates will have a passion for working with children and a background in childcare or related fields. Responsibilities Supervise 10 camp counselors over 3 day camp classes. Pre K (10-20 campers), Kinddergarten and First (10-20 campers) and Second through 5th grade (33 campers) Lead the Older camp Go on field trips with the children. Foster a positive camp atmosphere by encouraging teamwork, cooperation, and respect among campers and counselors. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding camper concerns that may arise. Assist in the implementation of program that promote childhood development and learning. Our theme this year is Time Travel. Each week we are having a different theme such as ancient egypt, wild west, 1980’s etc. Collaborate with fellow counselors to create a cohesive team environment focused on the campers’ best interests. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to childcare, early childhood education, and camp operations. Qualifications Previous experience in childcare or working with students is essential. Ability to drive the school van is a must. Strong leadership quality, yet friendly Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices is beneficial. Experience in behavior management techniques to support diverse camper needs. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with children and fellow staff members. A positive attitude, enthusiasm for outdoor activities, and a commitment to creating memorable experiences for campers.
