Bilingual Part-time Family & Consumer Sciences Clerk UGA Extension 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars Gwinnett County, GA Class Summary Job Description This position is responsible for clearly and concisely communicating in English and Korean/Vietnamese with program participants, community groups, the public, and staff. Additionally, this position will respond to basic Family and Consumer Sciences inquiries via walk-ins, email and phone; and triage complicated questions to a higher level of expertise (an Extension Agent or Program Assistant) Essential Duties Preparing educational handouts and assembling supplies for classes, programs, and events Assisting with registering class participants (virtually or in-person) Assisting with preparation and distribution of activity kits for hands-on learning labs Collecting program evaluations Providing educational assistance on food safety, how to properly conduct radon testing, and canner testing Communicating objectives and activities of the program Perform related duties as assigned Public Speaking Duties Assisting with fundraising events such as Gwinnett Extension’s annual plant sale and 4-H Farm Friends Collaborating with team members to develop and implement a public relations agenda to promote student enrollment O ther Job Requirements/Information This job may require working after hours, weekends, and/or holidays.
