Full-Time Job Summary:

The Full-Time CSEC Coordinator & Family Advocate is part of a team supporting and providing clinical and forensic services, and case management for children and their non-offending caregivers. This requires collaboration with legal, medical, and social services systems within the community to facilitate case coordination; promote consistency of case data; and to offer support to Child Advocacy Center staff. The Advocacy Services Director of the Augusta Child Advocacy Center Program supervises the CSEC Coordinator and Family Advocate. The position will primarily work out of the Child Enrichment office in Augusta, GA.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Case Management Duties (CSEC included) o Conducts Family Advocacy and CSEC-related advocacy in Augusta Office o Caseload of CSEC Advocacy versus Family Advocacy will be determined by the Advocacy Services Director based on center’s needs and volume o Provides information and referrals at the time of the forensic interview o Facilitates and documents follow up needs for each child/family, including assistance with DFCS, law enforcement, the District Attorney’s office, Victim’s Assistance, Juvenile court, therapy, medical exams o Assists Advocacy Services Directors with family advocacy follow-up contact o Communicates with team members regarding case recommendations/dispositions o Communicates with

response team for coordination of services with identified CSEC youth o Coordinates and schedules CSEC case meetings as appropriate o Participates in statewide CSEC Multidisciplinary Case Review meetings as appropriate o Maintains accurate resource information for client referrals o Works with law enforcement, juvenile court and the district attorney’s office to facilitate legal advocacy for clients throughout the legal process o Conducts required screenings and assessments with CSEC youth or legal guardian at the time of the interview o Documents all communication, demographic, and statistical information in Collaborate database o Participates in the Multidisciplinary Case Review Team (MCRT) to staff relevant cases and provide updates from the advocacy program o Contacts caregivers with appropriate and relevant updates following the MCRT meetings o Schedules and facilitates any follow up CSEC advocacy sessions with caregivers and CSEC youth 2. Outreach Duties o Represents the agency at collaboration meetings, service fairs, and other public relations events o Seeks out new community partnerships regularly and updates resource list for client referrals regularly o Provides community resource referrals when necessary o Conducts prevention and awareness trainings for the community as requested 2. Administrative o Completes monthly and annual statistics related to CSEC youth served, family advocacy services, and completed community presentations o Maintains filing cabinets related to CSEC services o Participates in regular supervisory sessions with the Advocacy Services Director o Attends workshops, seminars, continuing education, etc. for professional development. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psycholgoy, Education or other related field. Experience in the field of child abuse is desired. Ability to collaborate with other professionals and form positive, helping relationships with children and their families Computer literacy needed to maintain statistical data and program files
