School Social Worker in Denham Springs, LA 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars Denham Springs, LA 70726 Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A part-time Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is needed to support students in grades 7-12 at a K-12 public school in Denham Springs, LA. This school-year contract position offers flexible scheduling, with approximately 20-25 hours per week. The specific days and hours are adaptable to fit your availability. In this role, you will provide counseling and support services to students, helping them navigate personal, social, and academic challenges. You will work collaboratively with a full-time social worker who will delegate your caseload to ensure comprehensive care for students. Your efforts will promote student well-being and enhance their ability to succeed in the school environment.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Experience working with adolescents, particularly in school settings Strong counseling and interpersonal skills Ability to collaborate effectively with school staff and administration Understanding of K-12 educational environments and related social issues
Primary Responsibilities:
