Qualifications:
Valid Massachusetts DESE license as a School Social Worker/School Adjustment Counselor (All Levels or PreK8). Masters degree in social work, School Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, or a related field. Experience providing counseling services in a school or child-centered clinical setting. LICSW, LCSW, or LMHC licensure (or in progress) preferred. At least one year of related experience is preferred.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct therapeutic support to students, addressing their emotional and academic needs. Collaborate effectively with staff, families, and outside agencies to create comprehensive support plans. Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions, fostering a safe and supportive environment. Assess student needs and develop tailored interventions to promote positive outcomes. Participate in school meetings and contribute to the overall wellbeing of the student community.
