Mileage Reimbursement JobSummary:
We’re looking to bring on board a Clinician to provideclinical assessments and treatment interventions with children andfamilies within the Pride House LGBTQ+ Program in Northampton, MA, whosemission is to strengthen, expand and integrate a comprehensive system ofcommunity-based, culturally competent behavioral health andcomplementary services for children with serious emotional andbehavioral health needs and their families.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develops and provides in-home clinical services and interventions toidentified youth and their families in their homes; working in unisonwith outreach paraprofessionals, peer mentors, and other members of theContinuum team to help the child/family achieve their goals. Developpositive working relationships with contracted residential providers andtheir clinical teams; DMH/DCF personnel; and educational personnel.
Provides clinical and safety assessments as required. Coordinatescollaterals via regularly scheduled/emergency meetings or telephone toensure goals of the child/family are met. Works with outreachparaprofessionals and peer mentors to develop Individualized TreatmentPlans (ITP) pursuant to the DMH/DCF Rehab Options Standards. Ensurespolicies and procedures are adhered for Progress Notes, IndividualTreatment. Ensures support and crisis/emergency services for theyouth/family. Expected to do face-to-face contacts, phone contacts andbe part of an on-call system.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Musthold a Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field.
Previous experience working with diversified staff preferred. Experienceworking in Social Services, Human Services, Mental Health with childrenand/or families. Working with children/families with Serious EmotionalDisturbance (SED) who require behavior management to address mentalhealth needs preferred. Demonstrated communications, administrative andorganizational capabilities. Ability to work effectively with diversepopulations and community agencies: School Dept., DCF, DMH, etc.
Experience with LGBTQ+ Youth is a plus. Bilingual Preferred(Spanish/English)
