Job Title:

Middle School Curriculum Coordinators

• Four coordinators at each middle school, one per core content area: ELA, mathematics, science and social studies/history
• Coordinate curriculum, instruction and professional development for specific content area
• Champion districts vision in implementation of high quality instructional practices and curriculum resources
• Work with the curriculum office, building principals, assistant principals, teacher leaders, teachers and other curriculum leaders in the district.
• Meet with the curriculum office/department regularly (approximately once per month) throughout the year around year-long established goals (meetings may occur during or after the school day, no later than 5:00 pm).
• Lead middle school department meetings and grade level PLC meetings
• Develop, plan, and provide professional development in middle school instruction for teachers
• Support teachers in continued alignment of curriculum with the Massachusetts State Curriculum Frameworks
• Assist in the analysis and monitoring of common assessments
• Assist curriculum office with planning and executing the Celebration of Student Learning and/or STEM Week (as appropriate for your content area)Stipend per NMRSDTA Contract – this position is an annual appointment
